To increase the agility of system upgrades the check-in turnstiles were upgraded to have the exact same hardware components and design as the check-out turnstiles. The control software was also updated to make it easier to maintain and leverage the vendor-supplied control software for all peripheral devices which further improved the reliability of all systems.
