Important: New Login Procedure for Spring 2017

Next semester, you'll need to login to our Windows 7 computers by appending "@dce.psu.edu" to your Access ID user name (e.g., xyz5000@psu.edu):

UPN Logon Example. PSU Userid@psu.edu in logon name field.

If you try to login without including "@dce.psu.edu", you'll get a "The user name or password is incorrect" message, even if your password is correct. 

Affected Locations

This new login procedure will affect all OVPIT Teaching and Learning with Technology Windows 7 general purpose lab and podium computers at University Park, as well as all College and Commonwealth Campus labs and podiums that are part of our Cooperative Lab Management service starting Thursday, December 22, 2016.

At University Park, this change has already been implemented at our Beaver1 and Findlay6 locations.

Support Information

This new procedure is a result of a mandated security patch that addresses an authentication vulnerability in the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

If you have trouble logging in, please contact the Penn State IT Service Desk at (814) 865-4357, or if you're in a campus or College location, contact your local IT staff or Help Desk.

Faculty and staff using our podiums at University Park should contact us for assistance by calling (814) 777-0035.
