9/1/06 - Upgraded all Lab machines and Cluster to Red Hat Enterprise 4 for Fall 2006 Sememster.

4/26/07 - We do not currently have any hardware or software upgrades scheduled for our Linux labs for the fall, however, please check this webpage for future updates.

7/18/2007 - For the Fall 2007 Semester, we are upgrading the Hammond Linux lab with the following hardware

• 24  HP xw9400 Workstations with the following Specifications

  • Two (2) Dual-core AMD Opteron™ 2222SE, 3.00GHz, 1MB/core, AirCool processors

  • HP 16GB RAM (8x2GB) DDR2-667 ECC reg for 2 Processors

  • Two (2) HP 300GB SAS 3Gb/s Hard Drives

  • HP LP3065 30-inch LCD Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor

The following applications will be upgraded to their newest version for the fall.

• Matlab 2007a
• Mathematica 6.0.1
• Comsol 3.3a
• Maple 10
• IMSL
• Tecplot
• Ansys 11
• Nastran/Patran
• Abaqus 6.7
• LS-DYNA
• GridGen
