Lab Macs: Fall 2015 Application Requests

For the Fall 2015 semester, the CLC managed lab Macs will be rebuilt with the next major version of OS X, named "Yosemite" (10.10). Because this rebuild requires all software to be reinstalled, we are asking faculty and students to submit their software requests for the upcoming academic year (Fall 2015 - Spring 2016). Please be aware that none of the currently installed Mac labs software will be reinstalled without being requested.

Linux Labs Retiring June 30th

On June 30th, we will be retiring the Linux Labs in EES 120 and Pollock 201.  At that time we will be erasing the hard drives and imaging with a Windows operating system.

We are asking anyone who may have left files on these computers to retrieve them before June 27th.  After that date, all data on the computers will be erased.

If you have any questions, please let us know at:

Chrome and Firefox Bookmark Files Being Backed Up

Chrome and Firefox bookmark files, stored in your roaming profile, are being backed up daily (around 3:30am) to your UDrive space in case you have to clear your roaming profile.   You will see a V:\Backup\Bookmarks folder of you have such a backup.  IE Favorites are redirected to your "Home Folder" which is PASS or UDrive, and won't disappear if a roaming profile is cleared.

A new version of "PSU Alerts" that will restore such a file should be out this week.
