Clearing (Erasing) Profiles
Occasionally profile settings may get so "out of wack" that erasing your profile and starting all over is the easiest thing to do.
This should be done only in extreme situations and upon the advise of knowledgeable consultants to attempt to correct problems with application settings and other objects stored in your profile.
Click here, press the Clear Profile button, logoff, wait 2 minutes, and log on again.
You will know you are starting fresh if, when you log on, the User Setup dialog box comes up with the caption "This appears to be your first logon . . ."
If that DOESN'T happen, try logging onto a different machine (don't log off the first one yet). Sometimes copies of profiles are retained locally (they are erased at night). If the second machine "works" (you get the "This appears to be your first logon . . ."), then you should be ok; logoff the first machine first.
