CLC Windows Lab Problem Report
Problem with the following application has been reported in the lab.
Application
Microsoft Visual Studio - Visual Basic
Description of Problem
You are not able to add Controls to a project (Project | Components |
Controls) other than those listed which begin with "Microsoft".
In addition, the following Microsoft Components do not work - InkEdit, MaskEdit, Rich Textbook Control.
Cause of Problem
Attempting to add controls other than these requires write access to the local drive and the registry, and Visual Basic will crash since you do not have the correct permissions.
Status
- 07/01/2003 - gdf - The way the application works.
- 10/01/2003 - gdf - Re-installed to get more components
